The most important
achievements have been the expansion and development
of Naturism in this Autonomous Region, the founding
of the ‘Costa Cálida’ Naturist
Association and the consolidation of areas which
have been traditionally Naturist against the textile,
Real State and business world. We got in touch
with the Tourism Office of the region and the
Town Hall of the city of Cartagena to enquire
about the possibility of sponsorship and/or support
for the Naturist World Congress which was held
at El Portús from the 7th to the 10th of
September 2006. We also took part in the reception
of the attendants at the Congress at the airport
and several members came back with medals they
had won at the International Swimming Gala in
Gijón.
We still have few
activities for the members as the executive board
has very little time to spend. Local people tend
to be very independent and dislike joining associations.
However, we are planning to set a day a month
for gatherings and socializing among the members.
We issue the International
Naturist Card to our members, which is our main
contribution. We represent the members in our
dealings with other associations to defend our
positions and to make suggestions. We also inform
them once every three months about the relevant
news concerning the INF and the FEN. We also meet
for things such as sports, trips, camping, diving,
swimming, trekking and so on.
These activities contribute to strengthen our
relations. We also expect to have made a WEB page
within this year.
The main Naturist
areas are the Naturist campsite, ‘El Portús’,
near the city of Cartagena, and the ‘Negrete’
and ‘Parreño’ beaches. The
latter is situated in ‘The Calblanque’
Natural Park, (on the west side). Other places
worth mentioning are ‘Los Dentoles’
cove, (on the eastern side), ‘La Llana’
beach near the fishing port of San Pedro del Pinatar
and several coves near Bolnuevo and Mazarrón,
mainly Cala Amarilla.
We intend to support
two areas farther from the coast where we know
Naturist Recreation is being practised. We lack
a set programme of activities for the year, although
we are thinking of establishing one. They are
just carried out when and if they are suggested.
Since we are not
a small association any longer, we feel certain
that the collaboration of our 100 members will
be noticeable soon
