During the last few years the association has obtained important achievements for the Madrilians. It was the first association with a WEB. We have headquarters for social gatherings, a monthly public swimming pool with outdoor space for recreation, a spa three times a month, monthly nudist field trips, cinema with a Naturist topic, the first Youth Association, Internet and computing classes at the headquarters, music workshop, the first association with a Naturist sports group (ADelaNte), and others.
    But, the ADN’s most important contribution to the development of Naturism has been our promotion through the mass media. Our members have evolved from being shy about it and hiding themselves in exclusive areas to being proud and fighting for their freedom to practice nudism in any public place, showing themselves naked when they have been asked to by the ADN. Other associations have followed in our footsteps and this position has been stated in the Naturist Spanish Federation’s (FEN) new statues. This message has been heard worldwide , especially during the last World Congress in Spain, (see the speech of the FEN President, who is also ADN President, in the editorial section of this magazine)
    At the same time, ADN has been increasing its services and perfecting itself without having to raise its fees. Both, the WEB page and the magazine, (great quality but not very regular), have become bilingual, (in English since 2003). The swimming pool will be the subject of a new agreement which will require total commitment by City Hall. We have 5 annual meetings, having evolved from one at El Portús; Springtime, (El Portús or Templo del Sol, with a 50% discount), June, (Asturias), August, (Portugal, in collaboration with the FPN), October (Vera Natura, Almería) and December, (Almanat 30%, cover photo). We also have at least one in a rural house, besides barbecues in Torrelodones and our festive celebrations. Therefore, we might say that ADN members have an extra month of Naturist holidays at low cost. There is hardly a weekend without an ADN programmed activitiy.
    ADN members also took part in other international activities organised by the FEN on its 25th anniversary: the Interfederal of European Countries meeting (May, Vera Natura), the Town Hall of Cuevas del Campo meeting, (July, Granada), the Summer Youth Camp and the Youth Rally (July-August, Almanat), the World Congress (September, El Portús), the Sewimming Gala (November, organised by the ANAPA in the Jovellanos Hotel and the ‘El Llano’ swimming pool in Gijón)
