Q. In your opinion, what have been
the greatest achievements of the association?
A. The personal and straightforward relationship
we have with each member. Maybe, that is the reason
why we have been able to hold the number of members
stable, in spite of the reservations the Galician
society, and the Spanish people in general, may
have towards our association.
Q. What activities and services do you offer
to members and friends?
A. We have been trying to hold a Spring meeting
to strengthen links among our members, for some
years now. However, either because of our weather
conditions in this area or because of the unavailability
of the place where it was going to be held, the
meeting had to be cancelled. ANG has been publishing
its own bulletin every three months, with information,
articles and interviews about Naturism. This bulletin
you are holding is its latest issue. We obviously
support any initiative in our community geared
towards the acceptance of nudity by society, as
well.
Q. What are your immediate goals?
A. The first is to make this bulletin reach each
and every member. Now we are already preparing
our next Spring meeting; we hope attendance will
be high. Finally, we have been working on the
availability of either a swimming pool or a Spa
which, although may be different every season,
would allow us to enjoy those facilities in total
nudity, as we like it.
Q. What are your beaches or favourite places?
A. It would be unfair to mention some over the
others, since there are so many to point out.
According to the number of visitors and, thus,
the facilities they have, we could mention Barra
and Báscuas in the Pontevedra province,
O Vilar. Baroña and Barrañán
in A Coruña and Os Alemáns in Lugo;
also the idyllic inland areas by the Sil and Miño
rivers, such as Ribeira Sacra in the provinces
of Lugo and Ourense, or the area of Miño
river as it crosses Salvaterra in Pontevedra.
That is not all. Every coastal village offers
a cove or beach, where nudity is perfectly acceptable.
Perhaps, this is due to two reasons: there are
still lots of preserved charming and quiet places
the average tourist has not found out yet and
also that Galician society likes living in harmony
with nature and nudism, in spite of how much land
was sold in the 80s.
Lastly, we invite you to get to know us, both
ANG and Galicia.
